Wellington, FL (March 18, 2010) -
Aslan, a Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Russian Grand Prix rider Ljubov Kochetova, won the Highlife Farms Grand Prix Conformation and Style Award during the ninth week of the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. Aslan and Kochetova earned the conformation award while competing in the $200,000 FEI World Cup Grand Prix, CSI3* at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
Kochetova and Aslan were also in the ribbons during the class. They were the first pair to return in the jump-off, but with one rail at the second to last fence the pair finished in fifth place. Aslan won the Highlife Farms Conformation and Style Award based on his conformation, willing attitude, ride-ability and overall style while competing. Kochetova and Aslan were awarded a special ribbon from Highlife Farms and a gift certificate, generously donated by EquiFit, Inc.
"It was an exciting Grand Prix and we were thrilled that Aslan won the conformation award, as we totally agreed with the judges on their decision," said Joan Sims, who owns Highlife Farms with her husband Kenny. "Horses as beautiful and athletic as Aslan are what breeders strive for, and they are always wonderful to watch when they are competing."
